Citibank opens new branch at St Paul’s
Citi is taking on the high street banks in the heart of the Square Mile with the opening of a new Citibank branch, right next to St Paul’s Cathedral, on Monday 4 February 2008.

In addition to offering all services you would expect from a high street bank, Citibank is expecting to do brisk business with customers attracted by its unique current account providing Sterling, US dollars and Euros current accounts all linked via one debit card with fee-free transactions between accounts, an offering ideally suited to any customer who travels abroad. In addition Citibank provides a range of savings accounts, wealth management and financial advisory services.

Open from 9 - 5 Monday to Friday (Wednesdays 10-5pm) the branch also boasts internet banking desks to allow customers to bank online or they can sit with a personal advisor who will tailor products to meet to specific financial needs. The whole offering is enhanced by a Citigold suite for customers with more sophisticated banking needs.

To celebrate the opening of the branch, the bank is offering free pamper treatments or golf lessons with every product taken out during February.

Citibank is located overlooking the cathedral, a few minutes walk from St Paul’s station and with two entrances - the Citigold centre facing St Paul’s Churchyard and the Citibank counter service from Paternoster Square.

Ian Kerr, Country Business Manager, Citi UK Consumer, said:

“The new branch at St. Paul’s is an important investment for Citi UK Consumer and gives us the opportunity to create a fresh and different approach to retailing in financial services. We have now expanded our London footprint and t his will be a platform for further growth of distribution as we establish Citi as a major player in the UK’s banking market.”

Darren Hooker, St Paul’s branch manager, said: “Citibank’s sterling and multi currency banking services are ideally suited to the needs of the professional and international community that makes up the City of London. It’s this combination of leading edge products and quality service that few other UK banks can match.”
