Euromoney Private Banking Awards 2009: Credit Suisse awarded “Best Private Banking Services Overall” in Singapore

Credit Suisse’s private banking business in Singapore has been recognized as having ‘Best Private Banking Services Overall’ by Euromoney magazine, a leading industry business publication. The award acknowledges Credit Suisse’s private banking business leadership in Singapore and the success of its integrated banking franchise.

Euromoney rankings are based on a qualitative and quantitative survey supported by quantitative data provided by the participating banks. The survey also includes competitors’ perceptions of the best-performing providers in defined client and product categories.

According to Euromoney, Credit Suisse’s top ranking for “Best Private Banking Services Overall” in Singapore indicates the excellent quality of its services to high and ultra net worth individuals in these markets and reflects the recognition of other private banks operating in the same region. In particular, Credit Suisse was awarded first place in the sub-categories of “Relationship Management” and “Offshore services”, and was also ranked among the top three in Singapore in the majority of the 31 sub-categories.

Marcel Kreis, Head of Private Banking Asia Pacific, said: “We are honored for being awarded the Euromoney accolade for “Best Private Banking Services Overall” in Singapore. Here, Credit Suisse has its largest private banking center outside of Switzerland and a major regional hub. Close collaboration across all divisions has been instrumental for the successful development of our Singapore business. The award underscores our business leadership and recognizes the skills and commitment of our staff. Our Private Banking business has demonstrated strong resilience in these challenging times and we have strived to stay close to our clients, restore confidence and lend solid support to our employees. We are proud to see these achievements recognized by our peers.”
