ALLIANZ COMMERCIAL TO RESTRUCTURE NORTH WEST AND SCOTLAND REGION

Allianz Commercial is to restructure its North West and Scotland region in order to target aggressive growth, in the region of £50m, in Scotland and in Manchester as the market hardens.

The existing region will now be split into Scotland, managed by Steve Kelly, formerly of Norwich Union, and the North West, managed by Alex Stuart. The changes will be effective from February 16, 2009.

Simon McGinn, director, Commercial Broker Markets, Allianz Commercial, comments:
“These changes will enable our business to look forward to another year of profitable growth and further our desire to get closer to local markets. The continued success of our regional operation is of paramount importance. I am confident that I have in place a strong regional management team across the UK and that we are in the best position to use the skills and capabilities we have in our business to take advantage of an up-swing in the market when appropriate.”

In addition, Allianz Commercial has appointed Ian Hill, Scotland branch manager, to work on a major initiative that will be announced during the middle of 2009.
