GE Appoints One Company Officer

FAIRFIELD, Conn.–19 February 2009– GE today announces the appointment of one new company officer. GE currently has 191 GE officers globally. GE officers lead large revenue generating businesses or are in critical functional roles, helping to drive growth.

Below are the details of GE’s new officer:

John B. Lavelle, 48, is vice president, Global Projects Operation at Power & Water, a business within GE Energy Infrastructure. Lavelle draws on his broad experience as a 25-year GE veteran, with various leadership roles across the GE Energy business, including posts in China, Indonesia and Singapore.

Prior to his current role, he served as general manager, GE Gasification and as GE Energy’s region executive for the Southern U.S. Lavelle holds a bachelors degree in Liberal Arts from Saint Anselm College (1982) and a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts at Lowell (1983).
