Ann Haugh appointed COO for Global Corporate
Zurich Financial Services Group (Zurich) announces the appointment of Ann Haugh (37, US citizen) to the position of Chief Operating Officer for Global Corporate, effective January 1, 2009. In this role, she will oversee the execution of Global Corporate’s strategic goals on Zurich’s operating models, project portfolio management, International Program Business Operations, information technology, compliance, risk management, and communications. Ms. Haugh replaces Kristof Terryn who was recently promoted to the position of Chief Operating Officer for General Insurance. Ms. Haugh will be based in Zurich and will report to Mario Vitale, CEO Global Corporate.
Ms. Haugh rejoined Zurich in 2007, and has been Chief Operating Officer for Global Corporate in North America. She spent several years as Chief Underwriting Officer and Chief Operating Officer for the Executive Assurance Division of Arch Insurance Company in the US. Prior to that, Ms. Haugh served Zurich in several underwriting and management roles. She holds a bachelors degree in communication studies and journalism from Northwestern University, USA.
