James J. Schiro participates in plenary session at World Economic Forum 2009 in Davos

Zurich Financial Services Group (Zurich) announced today that James J. Schiro, Group Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Group Management Board, will participate in the World Economic Forum plenary session “Values Behind Market Capitalism”, taking place in Davos on Thursday, January 29, 10.30 a.m - 11.30 a.m. The debate focuses on the question what ethical and moral concerns need to be addressed to avoid a greater backlash to market capitalism.

The plenary session will include remarks by six panelists such as Tony Blair, former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom and Member of the Foundation Board of the World Economic Forum, Indra Nooyi, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, PepsiCo, USA.

The session is moderated by Maria Ramos, Group Chief Executive, Transnet, South Africa, and Co-Chair of the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting 2009. The conversation will be followed by a question and answer session.
