Heath Lambert revs up its classic car team

Heath Lambert Group, the UK’s leading independent insurance broker, has stepped up a gear with the appointment of Richard Buckmaster to drive forward the specialist classic car sector within its Art, Jewellery and Private Client Division (AJPCD). He is responsible for designing and delivering schemes for the classic car trade, as well as for developing affinity business with associated classic car bodies, organisations and high net worth individuals.

Buckmaster has a proven track record in this specialist area of insurance. He previously worked at Aston Scott Ltd where he was responsible for a successful classic motor trade scheme and Aon Ltd, where he specialised in the classic motor trade insurance sector.

In addition to providing specialist cover to owners of classic cars, he will be working with classic car restorers and dealers to develop products that meet their specific insurance needs.

Richard Northcott, Managing Director for Heath Lambert’s AJPCD, said:

“There are many synergies between Richard’s classic car expertise and the products we already offer to art restorers, conservators and dealers and the specialist affinity sectors. We believe that offering specialist insurance to the classic car market is a natural progression in the development of our business and will complement and enhance the scope of covers we can provide to our private and high net worth clients as well as to other clients across the Group as a whole.”

Buckmaster added:

“Heath Lambert’s Art, Jewellery and Private Client team is widely recognised as being one of the best in the country. I wanted to be part of its expansion plans, to work with expert teams across the Group and to be able to use my experience of the specialist classic car sector to help develop new and comprehensive offerings for clients.”
